Many people don’t realize that people pleasing, all-or-nothing thinking and not feeling good enough are due to having a perfectionist mindset. Coaching can help! By targeting your mindset you can restructure your life in a way that feels authentic to you and your ambitions without feeling overwhelmed.
MY STORY
I used to jump out of bed each morning, anxious to prove myself and start being productive ASAP. Some days I felt paralyzed at the thought of having to be productive. And then I learned that I’m a perfectionist.
Perfectionism is a mindset that stops us from fully living our lives. I know what it feels like to have good intentions, start many habits, but ditch when motivation wanes. Perfectionists people please so that we fit in and are appreciated, but end up just being resentful. At the end of the day I felt so guilty for not accomplishing all my “to-dos” or following through on my good intentions.
Have you ever gone to bed vowing to yourself that tomorrow is going to be different because you are going to BE better, but then wake up anxious to prove yourself? Again?
